The Summer Shimmer Aspen (Populus tremuloides 'Klaus Select') is an improved, fast-growing deciduous cultivar of the native quaking aspen valued for its dazzling two-toned foliage and bright white bark.
Appearance: Features glossy dark green leaves with shimmering silvery undersides that flutter and flash in the breeze, contrasting against smooth chalk-white bark.
Fall Color: Turns a brilliant, glowing golden-yellow in autumn.
Growth & Size: Grows rapidly to a mature height of 40 to 60 feet with a spread of 20 to 35 feet.
Habit: Tends to sucker significantly less than standard native quaking aspens, making it easier to manage in residential landscapes.
