Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid') is a striking, upright evergreen conifer known for its dense pyramidal shape and twisted, silvery-blue-green needles.
Mature Size: Reaches 20 to 30 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide.
Hardiness Zones: Thrives in USDA Zones 4 through 7.
Growth Rate: Slow to moderate (or vigorous depending on conditions), featuring soft, densely packed needles in bundles of five.
Sunlight: Prefers full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily).
Soil: Requires well-draining soil; adaptable to sand, loam, or clay, but intolerant of standing water.
Watering: Needs regular moisture when young, becoming highly drought-tolerant and waterwise once established.
Pruning: Minimal pruning required; shape naturally grows in a tight, upright pyramidal form.
